[TABLEAU] Adding A Logo To Your -DashBoard

Adding a Logo to Your Dashboard

To add a logo or other image to a dashboard. The method described in this article allows the image to appear wherever the dashboard is seen: in PDF, on Tableau Server, inserted into Microsoft Office documents, and so on.

Add an object to a dashboard

Step 1
Open a workbook that contains a dashboard, or add a dashboard to an existing workbook.

Step 2
From the Objects pane (at the bottom left of the dashboard), drag Image onto the dashboard. When black bars appear on the edges at the location where you want to place the logo image, release the mouse button.

Step 3
In the Open dialog box, browse to the location of the logo image file, select it, and click Open.

The logo appears in the location where you dragged the image object. Objects placed on the dashboard expand to fill the available space. When there are two or more objects on the dashboard, the objects become resizable. You can drag the object's edges to resize them as appropriate.

Step 4
Drag the edges of the logo to resize it as appropriate.

Step 5
(Optional) If necessary, from the Objects pane, drag a Blank object onto the dashboard to keep a space blank.

This picture shows a dashboard that contains two objects: the Tableau logo image and a blank object. The edges of the blank object are visible only when you click it; otherwise, the edges are invisible.

You can also place a text object on a dashboard. This picture shows a dashboard that contains two objects: the Tableau logo image and a text object. The edges of the text object are visible only when you click it; otherwise, the edges are invisible.
