Deploy New Web Catalog in OBIEE11g
The
process for deploying a new web catalog is similar to deploying a new RPD in
OBIEE 11g but we need to provide a new web catalog name in the same Enterprise
Manager Web link. Let me give the steps.
Click
on the business intelligence and on coreapplication
Click
on “lock and edit configuration” to enable to change the web catalog default
path settings
The
configuration will change and click on close button
Give
the new name in the presentation services repository section, I have given as
Santosh as the new web catalog for demonstration.
Now,
click on Active changes,
This
will take some time to change the activation and click on close
Now,
click on Restart to apply recent changes
This
will take you to the screen where you can re-start the services. if you have
done the changes on online mode, you need not restart the services.
To
restart the services, go to Business Intelligencecoreapplication and click on
Availability tab and click on Restart all Services (blue button) to restart the
services.
Click
yes if you get message confirming for start services
The
system will process the request and it will show you the successful restart of
service confirmation.
Now,
login into request (Answers), navigate to Presentation service Administration
link.
You
can see that the web catalog has changed
