There is no direct way of accessing the RPD once OBIEE12C is installed.No Administration tool is available by default.
We have to download and install client tool, and using this client tool we can able to work on RPD, catalog manager, job manager.
Download the Client tool from the location
and extract the OBIEE 12C Client tool and run the setup file
Click Next
Provide a path where you want to install (It is better to provide a path outside the OBIEE 12C installation folder).
Click Next
Click Install
Wait for the Process to complete.
Click Finish once completed.
Once the installation is completed you can find a new start menu entry created from where you can able to access rpd,catlog manager and job manager.
Now, you can open, create RPD using the installed client tool.
i had issue with bi administration when ever i tried to connect with database i got error i.e connection has failed. please give any idea to solve this..

when i use admin tool to create rpd in second step it fails says tns:could not resolve the connect identifier
