Migrating Data from XML file to RDBMS(Oracle)

 >> Set up Topology

Create Data server , in the Definition give the name for data server..

JDBC connection : click on search button and give ok..

From Filename replace with your file path  and Incase if your XML file is following dtd path then you have to mention dtd path also..

Copy the Path of the file as below..

Right click on the File >> Properties >> Copy the link

jdbc:snps:xml?f=D:\ODI\Sample-employee-XML-file.xml&d=D:\ODI\Sample-employee-XML-file.dtd

Yellow: Xml file path

Green : Dtd file path

Test Connection

 

>> Create Physical Schema : drop down schema and work schema select your file schema.

Go to Context : Assign context and provide name for logical schema

Save it

Noe: Recheck in logical architecture the Logical schema will be created automatically.

Note: The advantage is XML is automatically add a PK and FK

Employees file contains EMPLOYEES PK

Here Details file contains EMPLOYEES FK

The above two files are co related  each other ..

>> Create Interface With XML source and target

>> There is no specific KM’s for XML hence we need to use

LKM sql to oracle only

Save and Execute the interface..

 

Check the data in DB.
