How to Run talend job in command Prompt and Task scheduler

            First, We have to create a job in talend

            After completion of talend job. Right Click on the job and select “BUILD JOB”




After Clicking Build job Pop Up will open in that we have to give the path location in                            “ To archive File:”to save the job

Later Finish the Pop Up




                                                                                                                                                                                             

 We can see the zip file named “MAIL_0.1” in Below image


 we have to Extracting the zip file in same folder or any folder

After completion of extraction   -->D:\test\MAIL_0.1


 

D:\test\MAIL_0.1\MAIL

 we can see here 'MAIL_run' bat (.BAT)file and 'MAIL_run'  shell (.SH)file .

Up to here the process is same for

 1.Run Job in Command Prompt      

2. Run Job as per Time Scheduling by using window task scheduling

 location of talend job in our desktop: “D:\test\MAIL_0.1\MAIL”

1.Run Job in Command Prompt:

Open Command Prompt 




we have to select above path/dictionary in command prompt  as step given below

 

Step 1 – cd..       (cd-change directory)

Step 2 - d :

Step 3 - cd test

Step 4 - cd  MAIL_0.1

Step 5 - cd  MAIL

Step 6 – MAIL_run.bat




Here we can see after giving bat file the job was started

2.Run Job as per Time Scheduling by using window task scheduling:

First we have go to control panel-->administration tool -->Task scheduler   as image shown below

 

Task Scheduler will be open and we have select “CREATE TASK”

 

In create task there are 5 different types of action  as seen below image

1.General

2.Triggers        

3.Actions        

4.Conditions               

5.Setting

 

1.General:

                        Here we have to give the job name, any description and security options




 

2.Triggers:

Here we assign the time based on schedule either as per our need like (daily, weekly, monthly) and as per regular time intervals by selectin New, Edit and delete of time for scheduling a job

 

 

3.Actions:

            It is used specify the path/location of the talend job which is extracted as above  By clicking New/Edit/Delete


 

By Clicking new “NEW ACTION” window will open ,in that we have to select action type like

 Start a Program--> It will run a job automatically with out intimation.

 Send an e-mail--> It will run a job automatically by giving intimation to us.

 Display a message --> It will run a job by showing a Pop Up in our desktop.

4.Conditions: It is used for any condition which are given by us    

5.Setting: It is used for additional setting of job according to behaviour of job.

 We can run a job automatically as per time scheduler or manually we can run whenever we need the job
