Using split component in odi 12c

Split component is used to split the records based upon our conditions. It is as like as filter condition but in filter we can give only one condition here we can give one or more conditions.

Let us take the below source table as example.

Create three tables 10,20,30 by using following query

Create table emp10 as select * from emp where 1=3;

Create new model

Create new mappings

Drag and drop source and target tables into mappings and also drag expression component, spilt component.Need to give mappings from source to target.

Then click on spilt component go to spilt properties.

Then click on spilter condition by selecting it after giving space bar we can see this edit expression.

Here we need to write condition like in the above format.Likewise we have repeat same process for emp20 and emp30.

In target properties select integration type as control append

Next coming to physical layer

In physical layer target table properties integration knowledge module should be IKM oracle insert.global

Now validate the current mapping

Now save and run the mapping.

We can see status in operator

Here we can see outputs:

First output

Second output:

Third output:

Rerunning the mapping:

In physical layer when we run the mapping for the second time the truncate table option should be true in every target table
